Launched in 2012 by artist Olafur Eliasson and engineer Frederik Ottesen at The Tate Modern in London, this social enterprise brings clean, reliable, affordable energy to the 1.1 billion people around the world who live without access to electricity, while simultaneously raising awareness for energy access and climate action around the world.

Every time someone buys a Little Sun, a Little Sun is sold somewhere in the world where there is no energy, at a local, accessible price.
